The average South African household uses around 150–250 litres per person per day. A 2 500L tank gives a family of four roughly 2–3 days of backup. A 5 000L tank gives 5–7 days, which is our most recommended size. For longer outages or larger households, we suggest two 5 000L tanks or a 10 000L tank.

Only if you want mains-like pressure. A tank on a stand uses gravity — pressure depends on how high above the taps the tank sits. For most homes this isn't enough for showers and geysers, so we strongly recommend adding a booster or pressure pump. Our combo packages include this.

It depends on your area and geology. We always recommend a water quality test before using borehole water for drinking. Many boreholes in Gauteng have elevated iron, hardness or bacteria that require filtration. We can test and recommend the correct treatment system for your specific water profile.

A standard tank + pump installation takes 4–8 hours in a single day. Filtration systems typically take 2–3 hours. Borehole drilling depends on depth, but most residential boreholes are completed in 1–2 days.
